I am…

“Heythur” is my online persona. Why? Because it sounds cute, of course! I’ve been using it for all of my usernames since middle school, so it’s become a part of me in special kind of way.

I have commitment issues, but not in the way you’re thinking.

Let’s rip off the band-aid. I have an obsessive personality. That can be either a positive or negative trait depending on who’s asking. But in my experience, it’s done nothing but drive me forward.

Once I start a project that’s piqued my interest, it’ll be on my mind 24/7. I carry a small notebook around because ideas come to me on the fly no matter where I’m at. Sometimes I’ll be thinking about my latest gig in my sleep or while I’m in the middle of my shower. The same thing happens when I come across a new skill. I’ll practice and research it for hours, like how someone will binge-watch a Netflix original show in one night.

(Speaking of shows, once I get into a new anime, I stay caught up on the current season. Ask me for recommendations!)

TLDR; once I get into something, I’m in it 100%.

Punctuality is everything to me.

My degree may be in advertising, but I hold the English language very dear to my heart.

Whether you realize it or not, you come across hundreds of words on a daily basis without fail. Everything around you is driven by single words, carefully crafted sentences, or a paragraph here and there. Someone has to create those words.

I’ve realized the importance of literacy at a very early age. Eventually, I became well aware of a company’s professionalism based on their ability to convey their messages properly. If you’re anything like me, seeing a business publish anything with a typo or improper grammar puts you off.

Because of my respect for the art of wordcraft, I can guarantee accuracy in everything I do, even if it takes me a hundred lookovers.

My true love.

This really isn’t a secret, but my #1 passion is Star Wars. That’s why, for the past ten years, I’ve been indulging myself in what’s referred to as the “Expanded Universe”. This wealth of lore (known as the Star Wars EU) has fueled my desire for more stories through immersive media. I’m talking books, comics, and the occasional video game.

I took in everything I could get my hands on until I came across a community that shared my devotion to Star Wars. Take a look at some of my work for Youtini!

What can you expect after contacting me?

I am always open to a challenge.

Once a game plan has been sorted out, you will see that I put the utmost quality into my work. Someone once told me, “If there’s something you love doing, don’t force a career out of it because you’ll end up hating it.” Even in a professional setting, I write for fun, and that freedom allows my creativity to flow and my motivation to grow.
